After two months on the road, being back to our home in the forest feels great. The weather held for us on Tuesday morning, although the ground was still soaked from previous rains, with a little help from the dozer we managed to tow the van safely into its nest.
Wednesday stayed cloudy, cool and dry giving us the much needed time to prepare for the coming storm. We were able to unpack, tidy-up and essentially get all engines on the homestead firing again. We sat contently that evening, tired but content, and with a luxury beverage, watched out the windows by the fire, as the mist turned to rain and then to ice. We woke Thursday morning, finally rested, and in the middle of a pleasant snow storm.
